Local rules
The Municipality of Anchorage regulates bicycles, e-bikes and e-scooters under AMC Chapter 9.38. Ordinance AO 2024-51(S), passed July 30, 2024, refined the definition of "electric bicycle", allowed electric scooters, and improved access and safety on two-way mixed-use trails such as the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and on sidewalks.
