Washington County e-bikes are governed by the statewide Electric Bicycle Act. Fayetteville adopted Ordinance No. 6702, effective December 2023, updating which e-bike classes are allowed on its shared-use paved trails.
Overview
Washington County follows the Arkansas state e-bike statutes, plus any county ordinances listed below. Cities and school districts inside the county may impose additional restrictions on paths, sidewalks and campus property.
