Coconino County follows state e-bike law (A.R.S. § 28-819). Flagstaff, the largest city, adopted a 2019 ordinance amending City Code Chapter 9-05 to regulate e-bikes and e-scooters, banning them from sidewalks while allowing certain classes on the Flagstaff Urban Trails System.

Coconino County follows the Arizona state e-bike statutes, plus any county ordinances listed below. Cities and school districts inside the county may impose additional restrictions on paths, sidewalks and campus property.

Application of provisions; operation on sidewalks
Flagstaff City Code § 9-05-001-0001, § 9-05-001-0008
Applies the city bicycle code to electric and motorized bicycles and standup scooters, and prohibits their operation on sidewalks.
