No comprehensive borough e-bike code exists yet. As of mid-2026 the City of Fairbanks and the Fairbanks North Star Borough were actively discussing possible local restrictions on electric-assisted or motorized bicycles and scooters in certain areas.

Fairbanks North Star Borough follows the Alaska state e-bike statutes, plus any county ordinances listed below. Cities and school districts inside the county may impose additional restrictions on paths, sidewalks and campus property.
